Chocolate contains theobromine. This is poisonous to our pets and is naturally found in the cacao beans used to make chocolate.

Onions, Garlic & Leeks can cause toxicity in dogs and cats. Initially symptoms are vomiting and diarrhoea but can also cause damage to red blood cells resulting in anaemia.

Christmas Plants including poinsettias, mistletoe, amaryllis, ferns and pine sap are all poisonous to cats and dogs.

Christmas Pudding & Mince Pies contain dried fruit (currents, sultanas and raisons) which are toxic to dogs. Even just a small amount can cause kidney failure.
